Careers at First5Years

Grow with us.

Working at First5Years means being part of a team that takes early learning seriously, and takes people seriously too.

We build environments where children can thrive, and we want the same for the educators, teachers and leaders who work in them.

This is thoughtful early learning, real teamwork and meaningful growth.

We take children’s growth seriously. We take yours seriously too.

The care a child receives is shaped by the person in front of them. So the way we look after educators is not a perk sitting alongside our educational approach, it is part of it.

That means structure rather than sentiment: time set aside, conversations that happen on purpose, and leadership you can actually reach.

Growing people

Growing People.

Support shouldn’t begin when something goes wrong. It should already be there.

A supported educator has more space to be present, notice what matters and respond thoughtfully to the child in front of them.

Progression

There is room to step forward.

We are a growing organisation, and growth creates room: to lead a room, to mentor someone newer, to take on a specialisation, or to help open a new centre in a new town.

None of that happens by accident. It happens because someone knew what you were working toward, and because we have each other’s backs, and we solve problems together.

Where you’ll work

The environment matters for educators too.

We invest in architecture, rooms, playscapes, planning areas, staff spaces and verandahs because they change what a child can do, and because they change what a day feels like for the person working in them.

A room you can set up properly, a yard that invites real play, somewhere to think, and space to actually be with children rather than managing around the building.
